WHAT WE OFFER

  • From August to May, homeschool classes are offered for ages 5-8, 9-12, and 13-18 once per week. Click below to learn more.

The STEAM Discovery Center is owned and operated by the Jones family in Dalton, GA. Kimberly and Chris have two children in 1st and 2nd grade who are homeschooled. As parents, Chris and Kimberly focus on experiences for their children to help them develop an understanding of the world around them.

Kimberly has taught for 14 years in public education with experience in STEM integration K-12. She has her B.S. in Early Childhood Education, M.Ed. in Instructional Technology, and Ed.S. in Curriculum and Instruction. She also holds certification and endorsements for ESOL, Gifted, Coaching, Middle Grades Math and Science, Online Teaching, and Engineering and Technology Education.

Chris and Kimberly see the importance of building a love of learning and critical skills from an early age and encouraging children to be successful personally and as members of their communities.
